SYNOD 2026

THE ANGLICAN CHURCH of CANADA

The Diocese of Montreal wishes our communities to be free of harassment, abuse, and other conduct harmful to our members. The ombudsperson is an impartial, independent official tasked with receiving and investigating these complaints. The service is
God of new beginnings, guide us in hope, courage, and love throughout 2026.
Dieu des nouveaux départs, guide-nous dans l'espoir, le courage et l'amour tout au long de l'année 2026.
This is a final reminder and last opportunity to support Bishop Victor David Mbuyi Bipungu and the Bishop’s Action Appeal 2025, an important diocesan initiative strengthening Parish Growth across the Anglican Diocese of Montreal.

The Synod Office is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk), at a place called Tio’tia:ke (Montreal), a meeting place for many First Nations, including the Haudenosaunee (Six Nation Confederacy), Anishinabeg and Algonquin peoples.

We recognize and respect the Kanien’keha:ka as the traditional stewards of the land and waters of Tio’tia:ke.

Our acknowledgement stands as a promise to continue the ongoing work of recognition and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
