Pre Retirement Planning Workshop

The Anglican Diocese of Montreal wishes to support its clergy members through major life changes and retirement is one of the biggest.  To help you plan for a fulfilling retirement, the Human Resources Standing Committee is offering a pre-retirement planning workshop that will prepare you for a successful transition into retirement by addressing key areas of concern with realistic strategies.

When to retire is a significant personal decision and we all know that the transition can be challenging if it is not well planned. While some people look forward to retirement, for others, the thought of leaving their church, community and financial security is scary. But, one thing is certain: it is never too early or too late to plan for your retirement!

The one-day workshop will cover all major aspects of retirement, including finances, emotional, physical and psychological realities and other aspects you may never have thought about. You’ll leave the workshop with the knowledge and skills to plan for your future, and will take with you a resource pack to help put this knowledge into practice and create your own personalised plan. The workshop will also provide opportunities for members to ask questions during the presentation or to speak privately with the Ms Judy Robinson, Executive Director from the Pension Office of the Anglican Church of Canada.

This event will count toward 5 hours of your CCEP.

Please note that at the beginning of June you received your annual pension statement. Please bring it along to the workshop.

All clergy are strongly encouraged to attend.  Planning your retirement is an important exercise regardless of age!
