Thy Kingdom Come Day 10 (May 22) "Presence of God"

Thy Kingdom Come Day 10 (May 22)

Every Day for 10 days (May 13-May 23rd) we will be praying together for renewal and revival in the Diocese of Montreal!

Today: Presence of God

God is always with us. But sometimes we need to be still in God’s presence to hear the promptings of the Spirit. In this time we will use Scripture and reflection to draw near to the presence of God in prayer.

Thy Kingdom Come Day 9 (May 21, 2021)

Every Day for 10 days (May 13-May 23rd) we will be praying together for renewal and revival in the Diocese of Montreal!

Love of God

Jesus calls us to make disciples. You may be praying for people who need to know the loving presence of God in their lives. In our prayer time today we ask God to open our eyes to the opportunities to have faith conversations with people of every background. To be able to listen, to hear and to share,.

The Gospel is good news for all. We will pray for opportunities to have conversations of faith with others, that our eyes might be opened to share the love of God with those who need to hear it.

Christ’s Ambassadors

All of our churches sit in neighbourhoods. Some are downtown, others suburban, still others rural. Some are quite wealthy others less so. Often there are people around us in great need. Sometimes that material need, other times emotional and social need. is I ask you to join in prayer for our neighbourhoods and for  God’s help in directing our communities of faith to see the needs around us.

A Prayer for India from Bishop Mary Irwin-Gibson

Lord Jesus, send your holy spirit over this great country with all it's many needs and help them as they go through this pandemic. Send the help they need. Inspire those who are on the ground working as health care workers. Inspire all to take precautions to keep this virus from spreading. Pour out your spirit on the Church and give them fresh courage and fresh will.

Bring healing and comfort in Jesus name, Amen
