This Lent, the MTL Youth Team are inviting youth to take part in a meaningful day of service, outreach, self reflection and worship.
See our event poster below for details
Participants may choose the site of their preference to inspire them to live out their faith through mission. God is already at work in our midst and we wish to inspire our youth to take a closer look and perhaps even dive in! Some of the sites to consider are: Homelessness , Seniors and shut ins and urban agriculture to name a few. We will also have on site workshop for those who may prefer to stay on location.
Dinner and snacks will be provided. We will be partnering with Cathédrale Christ Church Cathedral, Montréal for our final worship at 6 pm. If you would like to volunteer or participate we welcome you! Kindly spread the word about this crucial day. We believe that the LMO will have a lasting impact on the faith lives of our young people.

Join us for a unique opportunity to take part in one of the Primate’s celebrated Conversation Circles
What is it?
A conversation circle consists of a structured dialogue, prayer and reflection with the support of a downloadable guide.
Why?
To pray, listen and connect and ultimately o offer our heartfelt prayers to the church …
"As you have opportunity, I encourage you to participate in a conversation circle, and to renew our call to be faithful and fruitful in our ministries and united in our resolve to be the Church in and for the world...
In marking this milestone in our history, I am inviting our entire Church to listen to its heartbeat through conversation circles in parishes, deaneries and dioceses—in homes, church halls, outdoors, or even online!" (Primate Fred Hiltz)
When?
Thursday January 10th 6 pm. Follow this link to join ...

With our thanks and appreciation,
Dear Friends,
I am asking for your support for the Bishop’s Action Appeal. I hope that you will be able to join with other people of this Diocese in strengthening an important ministry.
Thanks to your generous response to last year’s appeal, we were able to help the Inuit who are in prison, hospital and day shelters and to move our ministry presence to Epiphany Church in Verdun. We were also able to give financial support to The Territory of the People in the Central Interior of British Columbia to help communities rebuild in the aftermath of the fires that ravaged the area last year.
This year, we are focusing on another important ministry opportunity. We would like to support students in their final year of preparation for ordination. We have talented and dedicated students in the In-ministry Year at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College, but the course load is such that they cannot have part-time jobs.
Please pray for the work of the church and give as generously as you are able. Call our office at 514-843-6577 to donate or use the link provided. Unless you specify otherwise, half of your donation will go to Giving with Grace which helps the ministries of the Anglican Church of Canada make real transformation in real communities here at home and abroad.
With my thanks, and every blessing,
The Rt. Rev. Mary Irwin-Gibson
P.S. Gifts of $10 or more are eligible for a tax receipt, which will be issued in February 2019.

The Synod Office is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk), at a place called Tio’tia:ke (Montreal), a meeting place for many First Nations, including the Haudenosaunee (Six Nation Confederacy), Anishinabeg and Algonquin peoples.
We recognize and respect the Kanien’keha:ka as the traditional stewards of the land and waters of Tio’tia:ke.
Our acknowledgement stands as a promise to continue the ongoing work of recognition and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
