The Choir

St. Matthias church has two choirs, both of which participate in Sunday morning services. The children's choir is for boys and girls aged 7 to 15 who wish to sing with us. No previous training is required to be a member of the children's choir - all relevant training will be provided. Many of our choristers grow into the adult choir, remaining a valued part of the St. Matthias community.

In the adult choir, choristers receive a practical education in singing, along with extensive training in music theory, liturgies, and church and music history. In addition to their activities at the parish, the choir performs at other religious and secular locations, participates in summer choir camps, and has social outings.

The children's choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. The adult choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
