Proportunities - turning our buildings into assets

October-02-14   //   by: Nicki Hronjak

On November 8th, the Mission Committee is sponsoring a day to encourage imaginative thinking and action with regards to our properties. We have called the day “Propertunities” to highlight the opportunities inherent in our properties and to help us move from seeing them as burdens to seeing them as the assets they are.
The day includes:
• a presentation from the Bishop and the Synod Office on their vision for the diocese;
• panel and small group discussions; as well as
• a presentation by the diocesan architect of the issues particular to our Quebec context.
The day will start at 9am with registration and refreshments and will wrap up by 3pm.
There is no charge for the event, but we would appreciate donations for St Michael’s and Mile End missions: winter coats or boots, socks, canned goods, toiletries, etc.
We hope that this time together will help us become familiar with the models that are being used now while being honest about the potential benefits, risks, and pitfalls of property development so that we will be able to fully use and enjoy our biggest assets.
To register, call Nicki at 514-843-6577 – or respond by return email…
Hope to see you there!
